Making a Difference

There are countless opportunities for volunteer work within our communities. Commitments range from long term, seasonal, to one time events. We work with our employees in providing flexible schedules. It allows our employees the chance to take needed time to volunteer with activities such as little league softball, Special Olympics, and blood drives.

VOLUNTEERING WITH THE COMMUNITY
	The Orem city website posts several opportunities for short-term volunteer opportunities. For example, they may post a volunteer project for the school that you children attend. They also post projects that improve our community, such as park restoration.

WORKING WITH UNITED WAY
	United Way of Utah County understands that complicated problems require innovative solutions. They believe that systemic solutions go further and last longer than simple “band-aids.” That’s why they work with numerous community partners to solve key issues and their contributing factors. United Way assesses our community’s needs, and applies get-in-there-and-make-a-difference leadership to solve simple and complex problems—improving lives one at a time. United Way of Utah County brings the right team players together, pulling from a family of more than 200 community partners, 30 agency partners and more than 100 programs to make the greatest difference possible. UTAH SUMMER GAMES

The Utah Summer Games is an Olympic-style sports festival for athletes of all ages and abilities open to residents of the state of Utah. For the past 19 years the Utah Summer Games has conducted this event in Cedar City, Utah with an average total of 7,000 participants, 50 thousand spectators, and 1,000 volunteers in attendance each year. Add all that together and you have one of the premier sporting events in Utah.
