Visible Introduction
Moxtek’s PPL Series polarizers are designed for the visible light wavelengths.
These optical polarizers offer high heat resistance, allowing more luminescence
in the system, acceptance angles of + 20° without depolarization
of the skew rays and without compensation films, and can also operate
without degradation at high heat and light levels.
ProFlux™ Polarizers are a form birefringence material. Simply
defined, the form, or shape of the MicroWires™, cause
birefringence, splitting one ray of light into two
rays. Light that is oriented parallel to the MircroWires™
reflects (s-plane). Light that is perpendicular
to the wires transmit (p-plane). The period of the
of the MicroWires™ as well as the shape, height,
and width of the wires all affect the overall performance of ProFlux™
polarizer.
