The XE detectors are EDXRF Si-PIN detectors, with options for either a 6mm2 or 13mm2 active area. XE detectors combine a silicon PIN diode, a MOXTEK ultra-low-noise JFET, and a high performance two-stage thermoelectric cooler to achieve a stable output signal over high count rates. The XE preamp provides a low-noise signal output to an analog or digital pulse shaping amplifier. XE detectors are compatible with Moxtek's MXDPP-200. |
